Big Family Cafe
Since it opened almost two years ago, Big Family Cafe has built a following in Homewood Hills by serving reliably delicious, fresh food off a large menu. You can bring your kids. You can bring your parents. You can get an omelet for breakfast or lunch, and avocado comes with tons of entrees.
Once before, it tried expanding its hours to include dinner, but couldn’t make a go of it. Now it’s trying again. The new hours are 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Sunday (closed Monday).
Meanwhile, White Tiger Gourmet, in Boulevard, is making Mondays suck less by opening that day as of Feb. 15, with some kind of kick-off event to celebrate.
