It’s Alive!

Been missing Peaches and Glenda Brown’s delicious cooking, your appetite unsated by the other soul food places in Athens? I have good news for you. Brown’s back in the kitchen, this time at the former Honey B’s, renamed Honey B’s and G’s, at the corner of Prince and Satula. Hours seem to include lunch every day and sometimes breakfast or dinner. Check the Facebook page for regular updates. Word is it’s not a permanent solution, but it’ll do for now.

Scaling back is Heirloom Cafe, which will no longer (sniff) do weekday breakfast, just weekends. Breakfast really isn’t a big meal in Athens, and even those who eat it tend to opt for McDonald’s, but Heirloom’s is truly delicious, and it’s a shame it won’t be around anymore.
