Looks like Grub Notes jumped the gun a little on the Lumpkin Street gas station that’s becoming a burger place. Rather than Flip, it may be another Atlanta mini-chain that focuses on burgers, Grindhouse Killer Burgers. In many ways, Grindhouse is the opposite of Flip, offering few options and a more stripped down aesthetic. Alex Brounstein, who owns it, tasted countless bread products until he found the perfect one for the bun, and his focus on quality is impressive. The original Sweet Auburn Market Grindhouse cooked one of the more delicious burgers I’ve had, and I have high hopes for an Athens location. Now can we get a Farm Burger over here or what?
