The Athens-Clarke County Water Conservation Office announced the winner of the 2014 Roll Out the Barrels competition yesterday, and he’s Andrew Lentini, who made a rain barrel that looks like… a can of PBR, the official beverage of Athens.*
Honestly, I’m shocked no one had thought of it before.
You can bid on this rain barrel and more at a silent auction Friday from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Lyndon House.
If you win it, just please be sure that any houseguests don’t start chugging fetid rainwater. Because it will happen.
*Not true, but the mayor should inquire about a sponsorship. Maybe MillerCoorsInbevWhoever will pay for free bus service.
