Boston Pops Esplanade Comes to Athens


The Boston Pops Esplanade, the most recorded orchestra in America, will be performing in the ClassicCenter Theatre on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. Conductor Keith Lockhart will lead the Pops in tribute to the Oscar and Tony award-winning composer, Marvin Hamlisch. Vocalist and award-winning songwriter, Ann Hampton Callaway, will join Lockhart in the second half of the show to perfom songs of Barbra Streisand. Tickets can bepurchased through the UGA Performing Arts Center‘s website or by calling 706-542-4400 and through the Classic Center’s site or by calling 706-357-4444. Tickets range from $85-$120.
