Double Ferrari, Shade, Hot Fudge

One of Athens’ most potent and proficient rock bands, instrumental metal quartet Double Ferrari is hot off a buzz-fueled appearance at SXSW and an ensuing April tour with sibling band Bit Brigade. The group—which we’re excited to announce will play the Flagpole Athens Music Awards show June 21—first headlines the Caledonia Saturday with two other local standouts also on the bill. First up is the always airtight Hot Fudge—which recently added Claire Campbell of Hope for Agoldensummer on vocals—to be followed by stoner-psych outfit Shade, whose fuzz-soaked riffs and echoed-out atmospheres were squarely on display on the recently released Why Spread Panic.
