As the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission approaches the end of its process to formulate a public art master plan, consultant Todd Bressi will lead an open house to provide information and gather input from the community. Following a recap of the ongoing project’s development, visiting artist Wing Young Huie will offer a “Chalk Talk” in which participants engage each other by writing open-ended questions and reflections on a chalkboard. The Minneapolis photographer plans to document multiple “Chalk Talks” during his residency from Apr. 14–21, and the final collection of photographs will be displayed locally in late summer. Huie is the master plan’s third artist in residence, following Seitu Jones and Matthew Mazzotta.
