It took a week longer than expected, but minor league hockey team the Rock Lobsters played their home opener on Friday, beating the Mississippi Sea Wolves 3-2. The game was delayed by the new Classic Center arena’s failure to pass a fire inspection until Wednesday.
Thousands of fans gathered on Friday with their claws up to cheer on the team and check out the new arena, among them Flagpole‘s Jake Zerkel.
