The inaugural Athens Film Festival took place Aug. 15–17 screening more than 80 films across four downtown venues and hosting social happy hours. Although there was an emphasis placed on Georgia filmmakers, films were included from around the world.
Flagpole photographer Jake Zerkel documented the kick-off party at Ciné before attendees went separate ways to the various screenings, such as those happening at Flicker Theatre & Bar.
