Western Circuit Superior Court judges promoted Amanda Trimble to full-time presiding judge for Juvenile Court and named Kamau Hull a part-time judge effective Oct. 1, they announced Thursday.

Trimble, a former public defender, has served as Juvenile Court’s part-time judge since 2016. She will replace Judge Robin Shearer, who is retiring at the end of September. Trimble received her law degree from Mercer University and has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Georgia School of Law.
