Flagpole Ends Delivery to ‘Space Kroger’ on Hwy. 29

Beginning with this week’s issue, Flagpole will no longer deliver to the Kroger Marketplace located at 700 U.S. Hwy. 29—known locally as “Space Kroger“—a change that will affect over 800 readers who pick up the paper there every week.

The change is part of a nationwide, corporate-level decision to remove newspapers and other publications from the company’s stores.

Flagpole regularly delivers to over 350 locations, not limited to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, gyms, bars, hotels, colleges, venues and other businesses all across downtown, Normaltown, Five Points, Atlanta Highway, the Eastside, the UGA campus, Watkinsville and Winterville.

The closest distribution spots to the Kroger Marketplace can be found nearby on North Avenue at Apex Chevron, Perry’s Liquor and Wingate by Wyndham.

Downtown, papers can be grabbed on the go from outdoor modules located near the post office, courthouse, City Hall, UGA Arch, Wuxtry, The Globe and the corner of Broad and Lumpkin Streets.

For now, Flagpole can still be found at the other Kroger locations on Alps Road, College Station Road and Epps Bridge Parkway.
