Election Day is almost here—and not a moment too soon! Early voting started Monday at the ACC Board of Elections office and runs through Friday, Nov. 4.
As you can see from the photo above, there have been long lines already. People must be hyped about Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich. (Actually, the Athens Banner-Herald reports that people just want to get it over with so they can preserve what’s left of their sanity by ignoring the news for the next three weeks.)
Should you participate in our cherished democratic process of choosing which presidential candidate is certain to destroy the world and which is an acceptable level of “meh,” given the options, the Board of Elections office, at 155 E. Washington St., is open from 8 a.m.–5 p.m on weekdays, as well as 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
In addition, the board has added a few other early-voting locations this year: City Hall (8 a.m.–5 p.m. weekdays from Oct. 24–Nov. 4), the ACC Library on Baxter Street (10 a.m.–6 p.m. Oct. 31–Nov. 3 and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Nov. 4) and the Tate Student Center (8 a.m.–5 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2).
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8, and this pundit expects Giant Meteor to come out on top.
