The Athens Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Barber Street is letting customers take any building supplies in the store in exchange for a donation of their choice.
The ReStore East is overstocked, and Habitat Executive Director Spencer Frye said he is trying to clear out space in advance of a renovation.
All building and construction supplies—including sinks, bathtubs, countertops, lumber and light fixtures—are included. The special runs through this Saturday, Jan. 23.
Proceeds from ReStore sales go toward Habitat’s mission of building affordable housing in Clarke and Oconee counties.
