Read Our Voter Guide and Vote Early

If you’ve been too busy working to vote, put off mowing the lawn Saturday and head downtown.

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections at 155 E. Washington St. next to City Hall will be open this Saturday from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. You can also vote early today (Friday) until 5 p.m. and next Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. And, of course, you can vote on Election Day, Tuesday, May 20. Don’t forget your photo ID!

Haven’t made up your mind? Check out our interviews with the candidates. Can’t remember which district you’re in, where your precinct is or even if you’re registered? Click here. Find maps and sample ballots here.

And, you still have a few chances to meet the candidates in the flesh. Creature Comforts brewery (downtown in the old Snow Tire building) is hosting a Q&A with Mayor Nancy Denson at 6:30 p.m. today, after its 4:30 p.m. tour, and another with challenger Tim Denson at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In addition, Hill Chapel Baptist Church (off Hancock Avenue just south of West Broad Street, near the H.T. Edwards campus) has organized a meet-and-greet for the candidates from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday with rides to the polls afterward.
