In-person early voting started Tuesday morning at the Lyndon House Arts Center and runs through Nov. 1, with more locations to be added later in the advance voting period.

Athens-Clarke County election officials changed the downtown voting location because the county election office is cramped, and the Lyndon House offers more space.

Hours for early voting at the Lyndon House (211 Hoyt St.) are:

Tuesday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 20 from noon to 3 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 21-Oct. 25 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 27 from Noon to 3 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 28 tp Thursday, Oct. 31 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 1 from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m.

For the third and final week of early voting, five additional sites will open: the Miriam Moore Community Center, Athens Regional Library, Cooperative Extension Office, ACC Tennis Center and the Tate Center at UGA. Click here for dates and hours.

During the early voting period, anyone who’s registered in Athens can vote at any site. Photo ID is required.

Absentee mail-in ballots can be requested through Oct. 25, although election officials have urged voters to request and return them as soon as possible, as postal service can be slow.
