AthFest Educates Announces Full Lineup for 2025 AthFest Music & Arts Festival

AthFest Educates has officially announced the full lineup for this summer’s 27th annual AthFest Music & Arts Festival, scheduled for June 20–22 across three outdoor stages and 13 different music venues. See the press release below.

AthFest Educates Announces Full AthFest Music & Arts Festival Performer Lineup (Athens, GA)

— AthFest Educates has announced its full lineup for the 27th annual AthFest Music & Arts Festival, presented by Wicked Weed Brewing. The annual fundraising festival in downtown Athens takes place June 20th–22nd and includes performances on three outdoor stages, plus AthFest Club Crawl Shows at 13 local music venues. The Festival benefits AthFest Educates, a local nonprofit that funds high-quality music and arts education for K-12 youth in Athens. The free outdoor stages will have performances from 5pm Friday until 10pm, from 12 noon Saturday until 10pm, and from 12:30pm Sunday until 8:30pm. Club Crawl shows take place on Friday and Saturday nights. Club Crawl Passes provide access to all Club Crawl shows both nights (capacity and age restrictions apply) and are for sale at AthFest.com. Prices increase on May 1st, so get your passes now! A limited number of VIP Weekend Passes are also available. VIP passes provide access to all Club Crawl Shows including limited reserved seating at the Georgia Theater and 40 Watt, access to the Live Wire Athens VIP Mainstage viewing area, access to the Morton Theatre during the hottest parts of the day where the Mainstage performances will be broadcast, a festival t-shirt, commemorative mug, and limited complimentary beverages. In addition to live music all weekend long, the festival area includes beer trucks, vendors, food trucks, a juried Artist Market of ~70 local and regional artisans, and KidsFest. AthFest’s KidsFest is a mini-festival within a festival with its own KidsFest stage, sponsored by Clarke County School District, with performances by and for young people. There will also be a free KidsFest dance party at the Georgia Theatre on Saturday, June 21st from 1-3pm with DJ Mahogany. The popular KidsFest also includes free activities for young people as well as ticketed rides and inflatables. The Festival kicks off Friday, June 20th on the Wicked Weed Mainstage with performances by: Florence Cardigan, Commüne, Wieuca, T Hardy Morris (album release show), and Upchuck. The Hospitality South Hull Street Stage will host Bugs Eat Books, Penny Loafer, Easy Honey, Johnny Falloon, and a Silent Disco with Banjo to close out the night from 9-11pm.

On Saturday June 21st, the Wicked Weed Mainstage kicks off at noon, and will feature sets by Bea Porges, Los Cantares, Klezmer Local 42, Petty Kash, The Quiet Hounds, Kimberly Morgan York, Misnomer, Lo Down & Duddy, and Bubba Sparxxx. Over on the Hospitality South Hull Street Stage you’ll find Polar Waves, Angie Aparo, dropsonic, The Ladies Of, Beast Mode, Ashes to Omens, and Phantom Dan. Sunday June 22nd, the Wicked Weed Mainstage opens at 12:30, and will host Tropical Breeze Steel Band, Stella Groove, Fawney Rig, Yumbo Tron, Smokey Jones and the 3 Dollar Pistols, Wim Tapley & The Cannons, and The Vegabonds. The Hospitality South Hull Street Stage will feature Dragana, Sutherland, Lánre, Eli Eternal, Me’An Mills, Anna Kellum, and Grassland. The lineup for the historic Georgia Theatre Friday night is presented by ATHfactor-Liberty Ent & Volumes, and will feature Cardynal and The Flock, Nappy Roots, and Trvy & The Enemy in the theater, while the rooftop will host DJ Chief Rocka, Kid Arsenic, 96 Vizion, Marcel P. Black, Motorhead 2X, and Ant Da Ripper. Saturday night at the Georgia Theatre, you’ll find Modern Skirts, The Bad Ends, and Luxury Vehicle in the theater, and The Vassar Blondes, Nicholas Mallis & The Borealis, and Atticus Roness on the rooftop. At the iconic 40 Watt Club, Friday night is presented by Echo Base & Incubate Talent Group, and will feature the Echo Base DJs, Well Kept, Elijah Johnston, and Hallpass. Saturday night will see sets from Kuroma, Honeyknife, and Heffner. At Live Wire Athens on Friday night, the lineup includes The Regulars, Funk You, and Peach Ice Cream Bluegrass. On Saturday, Nightshade Family presents a full night of the Nightshade DJs. Hendershot’s hosts Kenosha Kid and Bichos Vivos Friday night, and sets by pondgorl, Your Ex’s Pets, and Zach Ritter and the Eternal Soup on Saturday night. Flicker Theatre will feature RaceCar 44, Grebe, Violent Violet, and Peter and The Skeeters on Friday. Saturday night sees sets by David Barbe, Nina Garbus, Night Palace, and Kit. At Ciné, Beat Up, The Grawks, and La Suegra play Friday night. On Saturday night, Shadebeast presents Silent Euphony, ENOX, Guillotine A.D., and Music Hates You. The Foundry will host Workhorses of the Entertainment/Recreational Industry, Rick Fowler Band, and Scarlett Stitch on Friday night. Saturday, Athens Latin Party presents DJ Harold and DJ Play.

At The Globe on Friday night, Classic City Rotary and the Vic Chesnutt Awards present Freeman Leverett, Mary Margaret Cozart, MK Barnes, Jon Nolan, and the 2025 Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Awards Winner (TBA); on Saturday night, you’ll see sets by Miley-Roth and Mary & The Hot Hotty-Hots. Paloma Park will host Jameson Tank, Sleeper Cell, and Gaby Delliponti Friday night, and Slightly Famous Somebodies, Will Slater & The 53, and Flatline Drive on Saturday night in their outdoor Beer Garden. At Nowhere Bar, Normaltown Records presents The Pink Stones, Kristina Murray, and The Howdies on Friday night. Saturday Night, Indecent Artistry presents Viv and The Things, Florry, Honeypuppy, and Bayou Princess. At The Roadhouse, Dosed by an Angel presents Friday night’s performances by Trepid, Ralph, Bone Bag, and Coma Therapy. Saturday night, you can catch sets by Victor Charlie, The Naysayers, and Glance of Dismissal. Clarke’s Collective will feature The Downstairs and Karma Kat on Friday and, on Saturday night, JiiG and DAYDRNKRZ. New to the Club Crawl, Buvez will host Michael Carnes, Dadgum, and Matt Knox on Friday. On Saturday, The Rishis, Dog Person, and Ozello will play sets at the venue. The AthFest Gospel Brunch will take place on Saturday, June 21st from 11am – 2pm at 1055 Barber Street, with performances from Marco & Friends, The Burgess Sisters, Jalen Eberhardt, and Garren M. Walker. Entry is free, and tickets for the Brunch Buffet are only $20 in advance and $25 at the door. AthFest 2025 is delighted to have several official affiliated events, including the Athens Art Book Fair at the Athenaeum on Saturday, June 21st from 11am-4pm. There will be a special screening of the Five Eight film Weirdo at Ciné on Thursday, June 19th, followed by a performance by Five Eight. On Saturday, June 21st, Neighborhood Books Presents: Voices of Athens, an afternoon of spoken word performances from 4-6pm at the Globe. Finally, JokerJokerTV will once again host a full-weekend AthFest-focused broadcast, featuring music videos from AthFest 2025 performers, as well as performer and artist interviews.
