Thursday, June 22 was a big night of bouncing around to warm up for the busy nights of AthFest ahead. At the 40 Watt Club, Faye Webster (Atlanta) performed a surprise show that sold out.

Next door at Flicker Theatre & Bar, Straitjacket Strippers, Walking Heads (Atlanta), LOOMS (Chicago), The Bunnies and Safety Fluid played.

That same night, Live Wire hosted the “Daniel Hutchens Honorary Shebang Delang Jubilee & Magic Show” in memory of Bloodkin’s Danny Hutchens with Mercy Train to Bogart, Redstone Ramblers and many others covering his songs.

The 25th annual AthFest Music & Arts Festival kicked off with outdoor performances across three stages. Spencer Thomas, Wim Tapley and the Cannons, Pip the Pansy, Linqua Franqa and Family and Friends performed on the AthFest Wicked Weed Stage.

Bea Porges, Hunger Anthem, Nuclear Tourism and Monsoon performed on the Paloma Park Hull Street Stage.

Jeffrey Vernon and Terminally Phil performed a show presented by Classic City Rotary and the Vic Chesnutt Awards at The Globe.

Annie Leeth and Zac Crook performed on the Georgia Theatre Rooftop.

Noise Mountain and Beast Mode and Noise Mountain performed at Ciné.

Shehehe and Mercyland performed at Nowhere Bar.

Parker Gispert and Cicada Rhythm performed at a New West Records showcase at the 40 Watt.

Immaterial Possession played at Flicker.

A.D. Blanco and GrandVille played at Paloma Park.

Cassie Chantel, Lera Lynn and Lo Talker performed at the Georgia Theatre.

AthFest continued on Saturday, June 24 with over 15 straight hours of performances. Panic Wave performed on the Clarke County School District KidsFest Stage.

Anna Kellam, Parker Wierling, Clover County, Grassland, Squallé, Tedo Stone, McKendrick Bearden, T. Hardy Morris and The Pink Stones played on the AthFest Wicked Weed Stage.

Dooley and Baldwin, The Getaway Company, After Hourz Band, Hunlo, The Echolocations, TYL3R DAVIS, Hollowbody, Lona and Sex Cells performed on the Paloma Park Hull Street Stage.

Dodd Ferrelle and Jim White performed at Hendershot’s.

A.M. Rodriguez and Way Past Cool played at Ciné.

Nu11 and CDSM performed at Flicker Theatre & Bar.

The Ocho, Everyday Dogs and The Asymptomatics played at Paloma Park.

Pylon Reenactment Society and Vision Video performed at the 40 Watt Club.

Festivities continued on Sunday, June 25. The Welfare Liners, Supernova Rainbow Band, BlackNerdNinja, Honeypuppy, The Curbside Pickups, Dayroom and Elf Power performed on the AthFest Wicked Weed Stage.

IAMTIKICA, Jacob Mallow, John Swilley & the Soul Goats, Wyld Staleyz and Klezmer Local 42 performed on the Paloma Park Hull Street Stage.

On Monday, June 26, Flicker hosted Evelia, Zoe Bayani and Willa Mae (Knoxville).
