On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Hollowbody, Ancient Infant and Slink performed at the 40 Watt Club.
Nix the Scientist, Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol (Austin, TX) and Rosie & The Ratdogs played at Ciné on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Back at the 40 Watt on Thursday, Sept. 29 to see Nashville acts Ray Fulcher and Southerland.
Next door at Flicker Theatre & Bar, new ska band Curbside Pickups played its first show, sharing the bill with Beat Up and Nuclear Tourism.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Red Line Athens hosted Equal Creatures (Atlanta), Feral Joy and Mechanical Canine (Philadelphia).
That same night, we also returned to Flicker for Atlanta bands Buice, Victory Hands and Hubble.
Held on Sunday, Oct. 2, the fourth annual Historic Athens Porchfest was bigger than ever with 156 acts spread across six neighborhoods. We caught sets by Jim Cook, Red Dakota, Deaf Condors, wolfli, Panic Wave and Eremos.
