This past week heated up on Thursday, July 14 at Flicker Theatre & Bar with saxophonist Tim Cappello. In addition to supporting Tina Turner through the ’80s and ’90s, he is fondly remembered for his musical performance in the 1987 vampire film The Lost Boys.
That same night over at the 40 Watt Club, Seven Year Witch (SC), The Madame Vega (Atlanta) and Vallion (FL) performed.
On Friday, July 15 back at Flicker, Shadebeast Presents hosted a metal night with Jet Engine Dragons, Dizygote (FL) and Kettle to Wake. This night marked Jet Engine Dragons’ return to the stage after a long pandemic-induced hiatus, as well as Kettle to Wake’s second-ever set.
Sun Trick Pony, The Duponts and Mason McClintock also performed this night next door at the 40 Watt.
This same night, Cydian, Picture Perfect Skylines (Atlanta) and The Getaway Company played at Ciné.
Back to Flicker on Saturday, July 16, new band Bat Factory performed along with opening act Organically Programmed.
Shows at the newly reopened Globe are back, with The Pierres also playing this night.
Over at the 40 Watt, another new band named Infinite Favors opened for Los Cantares.
