We hit the ground running this past week on Tuesday, Mar. 22 with Spirit and the Cosmic Heart (FL), The Dewars (NY), Calico Vision and Angel Barn at The World Famous.

Thursday, Mar. 24 was another busy night of bouncing around town to catch a variety of acts. Big C led another Blues Night Jam at Nowhere Bar, where the house band played a set of popular classics like The Allman Brothers Band’s “One Way Out.”

Over at Hendershot’s Coffee, the Louis Romanos Trio with Italian pianist Mauro Ronca played two sets of relaxing, jazzy compositions.

Back at the World Famous, McQQeen got the crowd dancing around.

Normal Bar hosted its own show this night as well, with Deaf Condors, Exit Row and Rag Bags.

Long-running Macon rock band Jupiter Coyote visited Southern Brewing Co. on Friday, Mar. 25.

Back at Hendershot’s Coffee, Wonderland Rangers celebrated the release of the third installment from the band’s new album, Trouble & Treasure. Willow Lane, a new ensemble featuring students in UGA’s Music Business Program, made their live debut.

Ended the night with The Asymptomatics at Flicker Theatre and Bar.

The annual BreastFest Athens fundraising concert made its return with an attendance record-breaking turnout on Saturday, Mar. 26. The day-long show featured sets by Reverend Tribble & the Deacons, Simple Life Band, Bloodkin, Norma Rae, The Welfare Liners and Honeychild. Organized by the Tyanna Foundation, the event donates proceeds to St. Mary’s Women’s Imaging Center.
