Sarah Mootz delivers a captivating cover of The Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun” at Paloma Park on Thursday, Feb. 24 despite a distracting game of basketball screening in the background.

Big C! Enough said. Thursday, Feb. 24 at Nowhere Bar.

Lena Rayne Allen paid homage to Vic Chesnutt with a cover of “When the Bottom Fell Out” during her set at Flicker Theatre & Bar on Feb. 24. Stormy surf stars Outersea and new local band Exit Row also performed.

Heffner and T. Hardy Morris (with Tyler Key on pedal steel) performed at the Lewis Room on Friday, Feb. 25.

At Southern Brewing that same night, Aubrey Entertainment presented its RPM series with Guillotine A.D., Beast Mode and Dungeon Filth (Atlanta). Congrats to Gullotine A.D., who recently signed to Las Vegas label M-Theory Audio.

No! Gregory is NOT done for the night. Over to The Root in time to catch Everyday Dogs take the stage.

Time for a healthy dose of flailing around over on Oconee Street on Saturday, Feb. 26 with the ATL Total Takeover featuring Hill Blocks View, Mishapen, Wack, Splooge, Spooky and local hosts Nuclear Tourism. People shoving each other around with smiles on their faces—Just like old times!

On Sunday, Feb. 27, DIY hot spot The Red Line hosted a Punx Picnic with Anarchy for Assholes (Oklahoma City), Beat Up (who released a 7″ this day!), Jacknife (Greenville), Pinkeye (Asheville), Sundown (Indianapolis), Weaponized Flesh, Zippnuts (Wausau, WI) and Clavus.
