While the majority of recording studios are adhering to the recommended social distancing protocols that have us shying away from placing full bands in small and enclosed spaces, a handful of solo artists have been able to take advantage and book some coveted studio time. Below, listen to local hip hop artist LB’s latest single, “Headnoise,” made at The Glow Recording Studio. The track is part of an ongoing project intended to intertwine a variety of styles and sensitive yet relatable topics.
“‘Headnoise’ is that moment when you have reached your breaking point,” says LB. “You have so much going on at the same time, you just want it all to go away.”
For the past two or three months, she has additionally been cranking out weekly videos called the “LB Friday Flow” on her YouTube Channel, Official Britt LB. These flows respond to different themes suggested by friends and fans, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at her writing process.
“They allow my supporters from The Swagg Gang to give me a topic or a beat and for me to write to it,” says LB. “It allows me to connect with them on a different level and speak on things they may be going through.”
