Muuy Biien Announces New Album, Shares Video

Athens mainstay Muuy Biien has been relatively quiet on the local front over the past year or so, but now the group is gearing up to release its third full-length. Age of Uncertainty is out Oct. 28 via Los Angeles imprint Autumn Tone Records. The label was founded by Aquarium Drunkard mastermind (and former Athenian) Justin Gage.

The 12-track LP, produced by local legend David Barbe, will showcase Muuy Biien’s continued evolution from scrappy hardcore act to goth-inspired post-punk project.

There’s also a new video for “Another Chore,” the record’s menacing fifth track. Says the band’s Joshua Evans:

“Another Chore” is a song about annoying, unambitious people. Robbie [Rapp] and I tracked the song at our house in Athens in less than an hour with no preconceptions, or prospects for that matter. We chose to shoot the video while on tour in New York City with our friend Jorge Torres-Torres. This allowed us to approach the video in a stream of conscious fashion, similar to the song.
