Watch a Live Video of Adam Klein’s ‘Song for a New Year’

Last month, Athens alt-country troubadour Adam Klein released Archer’s Arrow, his sixth album. The record, a collaboration with now-defunct Athens band Nutria, had been in the works since 2010; Klein shelved the project for several years, releasing Sky Blue DeVille with his live band, The Wild Fires, in 2013.

Last year, engineer Bronson Tew helped fine-tune Archer’s Arrow, adding layers of guitar and otherwise rounding out the album’s unfinished tracks. The result is a warm, comfortable record that stands as one of Klein’s best.

Here’s a recent video of Klein and Lucas McAuliffe of local band Rohit performing “Song for a New Year,” the plaintive lead track from Archer’s Arrow, at East Atlanta’s 529:
