Flagpole Premieres: Mind Brains, ‘Happy Stomp’ Video

Since forming last year, eccentric Athens psych supergroup Mind Brains has built a steady buzz on the basis of a must-see live show and a terrific self-titled album, released via Orange Twin.

Over the past few months, the band has released a steady stream of videos for many of the songs on the record, and today, we’re happy to premiere the clip for Mind Brains’ lead-off track, “Happy Stomp.”

Says band member Emily Waldron:

For the video, we played a party at a local Moose Club gathering and asked people to take footage of us while we played. A man in a gourd mask showed up with a bird. The slideshow features manipulated 35mm slides. Our green screening is all house-made. In memory of Laser Dog.

Mind Brains plays the Caledonia Lounge this Saturday, June 13.
