Watch Modest Mouse’s New Athens-Filmed Music Video

Pacific Northwest indie rock icons Modest Mouse played a sold-out Georgia Theatre show earlier this month, but that’s not the only thing the band was up to during its stay in Athens.

The band also used the Classic City as a location for its latest music video shoot; you can stream the resulting clip, for Strangers to Ourselves single “Lampshades on Fire,” below:

The video, directed by former Athenian Jorge Torres-Torres and set at a bizarro house party, stars “Orange Is the New Black” actress Natasha Lyonne and a host of local musicians, including members of Muuy Biien, Ginko, Sad Dads, DIP, Monsoon and more.

Check out our recent feature on Modest Mouse, where we asked a UGA philosophy professor to decode some of our favorite Isaac Brock lyrics.
