Tonight in Athens: Drive-By Truckers, Moon Taxi, Spaceface

It’s a big night for live music in Athens, with three marquee shows to get you all hot and bothered on a cold and windy evening:

At the 40 Watt Club, local rock demigods Drive-By Truckers begin their annual three-night Homecoming stand. Multi-instrumentalist Jay Gonzalez does double duty as an opener.(Tickets are still available.)

8 p.m. $31.

Over at the Georgia Theatre, another multi-day series kicks off, as Nashville prog-rockers Moon Taxi play night one of two.

8 p.m. $40.

And at the Caledonia Lounge, a more budget-friendly option: Memphis psych crazies Spaceface headline a bill that also includes locals Dana Swimmer and Cult of Riggonia, as well as Mississippi’s Young Buffalo.

9 p.m. $5 (21+), $7 (18–20).
