Watch a New Video from Pinecones

The wonderful mystery that is Athens/Atlanta four-piece Pinecones only grows thicker and more irresistable every day. The band is basically Jon Hamm’s beard in rock and roll form.

Here is a new music video for the studio version of “Sleep is Forget,” a tune that first surfaced on the excellent live cassette Plays Cosmic Hits.

The clip, which was shot by Dorothy Stucki and edited by the band’s singer and guitarist Bo Orr, features the group playing “inside a human body thanks the the Plastic Aztecs Art Collective,” according to the video’s description.

The track will appear on Pinecones’ upcoming studio debut, reportedly titled Sings For You Now and out sometime this year. Writes Orr in an email:

No real plan of physical release as of yet… Still trying to work all of that out. We’ve already got another album worth of material were working on & then this tour we’re doing… Trying to shoot for CCR and do three albums in a year ha!
