Acclaimed Atlanta rapper Killer Mike and ’80s electro pioneer Egyptian Lover will join Cibo Matto as headliners for the Athens Intensified festival this fall, organizer Gordon Lamb announced Thursday.
Lamb—who writes Flagpole‘s Threats & Promises column and tells you that no, you’re not on the list at Caledonia—has also booked Genders, Babes, Frost the Wave God, Dola and What Moon Things. Forty-one more regional and local bands will play the festival, too.
Athens Intensified is scheduled for Sept. 11–13 and Sept. 20 at the 40 Watt Club, New Earth Music Hall and Caledonia Lounge. Full passes are on sale now here for $35 with Cibo Matto or $30 without. Cibo Matto-only tickets are available from the 40 Watt. Individual tickets for other headlining shows will go on sale July 25.
