Neutral Milk Hotel, Drive-By Truckers, Washed Out to Play Bonnaroo

In case you missed it, the Bonnaroo lineup was announced earlier this week, and it includes three Athens-based bands in Neutral Milk Hotel, Drive-By Truckers and Washed Out. (Oh, hey! You can read recent Flagpole features on all those groups here, here and here.)

This year’s shindig happens June 12–15 in Manchester, TN. You can peep the full, headache-inducingly extensive lineup here. In addition to the local acts listed above, featured notables include Elton John (!), The Flaming Lips, Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Frank Ocean and Kanye West, who threw a hissy fit in 2008 after his Bonnaroo set was a total disaster.

Stay tuned to Homedrone for Flagpole‘s coverage of Bonnaroo and other upcoming festivals.
