Against Me! to Host Listening Party at 40 Watt Monday

Venerable pop-punk outfit Against Me! will play the 40 Watt Club next Tuesday, Jan. 21 (read our feature on openers The Shondes), which happens to be the release date for the band’s long-awaited album Transgender Dysphoria Blues. On the terrific album (which NPR Music premiered earlier this week), singer Laura Jane Grace chronicles her experiences since coming out as transgender in 2012.

On Monday, Jan. 20, you can get another early taste of the album by swinging by the 40 Watt, where the band will be in attendance for two listening sessions of Transgender Dysphoria Blues—one at 9 p.m. and the other at 11 p.m. Both are free to attend.
