Sans Abri Starts Green Room Residency Tonight, Gives Away Schwag

Local folk duo Sans Abri, a group that features Josh Erwin and Michael Paynter of bluegrass mainstays Packway Handle Band, begins a monthlong residency at Green Room tonight. The band will play at the Lumpkin Street venue four Tuesdays in October—Oct. 1Oct. 15Oct. 22 and Oct. 29—previewing material from the upcoming Shelter LP all the while.

Speaking of that record, Sans Abri is making one Shelter song available per week for the next seven weeks on its Bandcamp page, and giving away CD copies of the album and other schwag to fans who “review” the new track each week via Twitter or Facebook. (More info here.) The band says that “extra points [will be] awarded for creative comments and total amount of 10+ letter words to create coherent sentences.”
