Tonight in Athens: Leverage Models, Mothers

Tonight at Flicker, there’s a great triple-bill of local talent, featuring Ryan Gray Moore of Brothers, Steven Trimmer of Grass Giraffes/Glasscrafts and Mothers, the folky project from songwriter Kristine Leschper. Watch Leschper play the gorgeous “Blood-Letting” below:

Shannon Fields, formerly of Stars Like Fleas, now records as Leverage Models and releases music on the venerable Home Tapes label. On his upcoming LP, he’s assisted by Sharon Van Etten and members of Yeasayer. Don’t let Fields’ avant-garde history and penchant for pseudo-intellectualism fool you; this is straight-up pleasure-center synth-pop. He performs tonight at Green Room along with Half Acid and Programs.
