UPDATED with Even More Bands: Flagpole’s AthFest Showcase Announced

UPDATE: More bands have been confirmed for Flagpole’s showcase. murk daddy flex and The Barlettas have been added to Friday’s lineup, and Glasscrafts has been added to Saturday. This is just gonna be the best. See the full schedule, including set times, on the AthFest site.

We’ve told you about a lot of the bands that will be playing AthFest. Now, we’re proud to announce the lineup for the two-night, Flagpole-presented showcase at the Georgia Theatre.

On Friday, June 21, Reptar will headline the Theatre’s main stage, with Yip Deceiver and Velveteen Pink opening what’s sure to be a dance-happy evening. On the roof, murk daddy flex will uh, flex his beatscape-y muscles, The Barlettas will rock and The Dream Scene will regale us with some seriously irresistible faded pop tunes.

Saturday, June 22 will feature unstoppable local rockers Dead Confederate, along with Easter Island and upstart psych rockers Blue Blood. Meanwhile, pacificUV, Glasscrafts and delightful downer groovers k i d s will play the rooftop.

Take note: Friday’s show is WRISTBAND ONLY, which means you must purchase an AthFest ‘band to gain entry. Tickets for Saturday’s show are free with wristband, and $10 without.

Of course, you can kick off the whole weekend at the Flagpole Athens Music Awards, which takes place at the historic Morton Theatre on Thursday, June 20. (Find the awards ballot here.)
