Njambi Mwaura Benefit Tonight at Little Kings

Happening tonight at Little Kings Shuffle Club: A benefit has been scheduled in support of Njambi Mwaura, an Athens native and artist who is currently marooned in Africa. Reportedly, Mwaura traveled to Kenya to visit her dying mother in 2010 and has been there ever since, with no means to return home. Apparently, she also recently suffered a broken leg and is in need of medical care.

In an effort to raise money for Mwaura’s plane ticket back to the States, a $5 donation is requested at the concert, which features Taxicab Verses, Old Smokey, Werewolves, Jim McCarren, Sleepy Co., Lof8 and DJ Cabbage Looper.

Visit the event’s Facebook page for more.
