Watch a New Future Ape Tapes Video: ‘Mandala’

Long-running local avant-pop group Future Ape Tapes will release a new album, Somnambuland, in March, but you can get a sneak peek by checking out the video for “Mandala,” a swirling, spaced-out track from the record. The video, which was put together by Future Ape’s Donald Whitehead, does a fine job of mirroring the band’s chameleonic sound.

In related news, the other half of Future Ape Tapes, Tom Television, will perform tonight at Flicker Theatre & Bar as part of Hand Sand Hands’ January “Weird Fest” residency.
