Hear New Songs from Blue Blood

Below, stream six tracks from Blue Blood, the new-ish project from Hunter Morris (Gift Horse). The band, which also features Hank Sullivant (MGMT, Kuroma) and J.J. Bower (Dead Confederate), is putting the finishing touches on its debut album as we speak. The demos the group has posted on its Soundcloud page hint at a slightly psychedelic (no surprise, given the figures involved), wide-scoped sound.

There are some interesting surprises among the songs (check the gauzy, rhythmic “We Could Never Be Friends”), but mostly, the tracks stick to a pleasant, poppy, psych-wave formula. But instead of coming off as flat, here the stubborn adherence to form kinda works. Very much looking forward to seeing how the album turns out.
