Team Clermont has announced that Akron/Family, the ever-evolving psych-pop collective that flirts with bloated musical overkill and gorgeous, understated pop melody with equal zeal (and somehow usually makes it work), has been added to the Team Clermont Summer Showcase & Prom, which takes place from July 26-28.
This is a very nice addition indeed to the Showcase, which already features a pretty awesome lineup (Crooked Fingers, Bear in Heaven, Dent May, Pattern is Movement, Wild Moccasins). The Prom will take place July 28 at the Melting Point, and features the smooth stylings of Yacht Rock Revue.
Three-day passes are available at the Georgia Theatre website. We’ll have more info on the whole shebang in that week’s issue of Flagpole.
