Baddies Burgers Will Replace Winghouse Grill This Summer

About five years ago, Winghouse Grill opened a location in Normaltown, in the space formerly known as Ike & Jane (and as Black Forest Bakery before that). Yesterday its owners confirmed via social media that that location will close May 1, running limited hours (11 a.m.–3 p.m.) and serving out of its food truck until then. The locations in Hull and Watkinsville will remain open.

Rumors have been flying for some time about what would replace it, and Joe Nedza confirmed via phone that the next business to move in to the space is a third location of his Baddies Burgers. The original location remains in Five Points, in the strip with Mediterranean Grill, and Nedza opened a second location in Watkinsville last year. He says that the menu, which is intentionally limited (I, for one, really appreciate how simple it is), will remain the same. It’s possible he’ll offer a single beer. When will it open? Nedza is shooting for late June or mid-July, before UGA classes start in mid-August.

It’s not the only change in the area. Across the street, Square One is renovating into a third location of Fully Loaded Pizza, complete with a rooftop bar.
