Clarke County School Superintendent Robbie Hooker has reassigned the principals at five elementary schools to other schools, leaving a vacancy at Barnett Shoals Elementary.
JJ Harris principal Beverly Harper will become the new principal at Howard B. Stroud, with Stroud’s Stacie Carson moving to Fowler Drive and Fowler’s Pamela Garcia taking over JJ Harris. Barnett Shoals principal Aliceson Nobles will take over Gaines Elementary, and Luther McDaniel will leave Gaines to become an assistant principal at Cedar Shoals High School.
“These transfers are being initiated after a great deal of thought as to the needs of each school in pursuit of our vision to be a high-performing school district that ensures all students can access opportunities and positively contribute to their communities,” Hooker. said in a news release “Each of these leaders has been part of our district for many years, and I look forward to the work they will do with their new school assignments.”
