Warming tents will be stationed at Bigger Vision of Athens (95 North Ave.) and Advantage Behavioral Health System (240 North Ave.), according to the Athens-Clarke County government.

ACC is advising that residents winterize pipes and keep warm clothing, flashlights, batteries and at least three days’ worth of nonperishable food and medicine on hand. For more information, visit accgov.com/weather.

Athens parks, the landfill, the CHaRM and the animal shelter will be closed Friday. Athens Transit will continue to run, Solid Waste will continue downtown pickups and Animal Services will respond to emergency calls as long as conditions allow.
