Athens Artists Play L.A. Concert Before CFP Title Game to Benefit Nuçi’s Space

The Georgia Bulldogs aren’t the only representatives of Athens in Los Angeles this weekend for the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Members of R.E.M., the Glands, Sugar, the Interns and Natural Child, Drew Dixon and more are playing a concert at the legendary West Hollywood nightclub The Troubadour tonight at 8 p.m. Pacific/11 p.m. Eastern.

For those of us not lucky enough to score tickets to the big game, the concert can be streamed for free at volume.com/troubadour/ (just sign up for streaming service Volume). Donations are encouraged and will benefit Nuçi’s Space, a local nonprofit that focuses on suicide prevention with an emphasis on the music community.

The Dawgs take the field Monday at 7:30 p.m. Athens time to face the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs, aka the Hypnotoads, at SoFi Stadium. The game airs on ESPN.
