A fire broke out Friday evening at University Oaks, an apartment complex off West Broad Street behind Arby’s.
The fire damaged 14 units, according to the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department, but no one was injured. The Red Cross was on the scene to assist residents who were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire has not been released.
