Athens-Clarke County police are looking for a man they said shot seven people during a fight in downtown Athens early Sunday morning.
A large fight broke out near the intersection of East Clayton and North Jackson streets at about 2 a.m. During the fight, a man fired a gun into the crowd, injuring seven people, according to police. All seven were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives identified the shooter as Pharoah Devonell Williams, 21, and warrants were issued for his arrest. Williams should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
UPDATE: Police said Monday that Williams had turned himself in at the Wilkes County jail.
