Calendar Pick: Pull Chains, Honeypuppy, Infinite Favors

Pull Chains

Pull Chains first began in 2023 as a collaboration between Greg Cartwright, Joseph Plunkett and Jesse Smith. The three are each veterans of the music scene, with Cartwright known for his work in Memphis in ‘90s garage punk trio Oblivians and rock-and-roll band Reigning Sound, Smith for his work in Atlanta garage rock/power pop band Gentleman Jesse and Plunkett for Nashville band Country Westerns. The three are joined by Eliza Hill on drums to complete the Pull Chains lineup. The band is currently recording its debut album at Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis with the goal of allowing each member to rotate between guitar, bass and frontman to highlight their various strengths. Pull Chains is rounding out its Athens bill with some local talents, including indie bubblegrunge band Honeypuppy and bedroom pop brother duo Infinite Favors.
