Calendar Pick: Dead Beat Club Redux

Last year, Dead Beat Club took karaoke to the next level, inviting ticket-holders to perform on stage with Classic City Jukebox, a live band with a repertoire covering popular music from the ‘60s through the 2000s. The event is returning once again with two ticket levels, Headliners and Walk-Ons. Headliners get VIP access to the green room, the ability to reserve their song ahead of time, a soundcheck with the band, a complimentary drink at the bar, an artist lanyard and a swag bag. Walk-Ons pay $15 per song. Those who just want to enjoy the music can pay $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event. In addition to the Headliners and Walk-Ons, some of Athens’ favorite artists will be taking the stage with Classic City Jukebox, including Caroline Aiken, Dana Downs, Rick Fowler, Woody Garrison, Jay Gonzalez, Seth Hendershot, Dan Horowitz, Sherry Johnson, Carla Le Fever, Lisa Mende, Janet Smillie and Dennis Smillie. Audience members can make $1 donations to vote for their favorite Featured Artists and Headliners, with prizes for the winners. All proceeds from the event will benefit Artist2Artist’s mission of helping Athens musicians in need.
