The Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development, based at the University of Georgia’s Mary Frances Early College of Education, is commemorating its 40th anniversary this year. One of its flagship events, the Torrance Festival of Ideas is a globally minded three-day online festival that features more than two dozen world-renowned scholars who present on pioneering ideas pertaining to creativity, learning and education. From 9 a.m.–6 p.m. each day, hour-long sessions will explore topics such as “Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” “Creating Ruptions for Alternative Educational Futures” and “Creativity, Mindfulness and Wellbeing.” Registered attendees will be able to access recordings of the talks for three months following the festival.
