After a successful festival last year, ShellFest is returning to The Bottleworks once again, with the same great mission, more support, more food, fun and music. The music lineup is a bit of a survey of the current folk rock scene as it stands in Athens. Local band lighthearted will be playing, as well as McKendrick Bearden of Grand Vapids, who recently released his first solo record, and Atlanta’s Fenway Flower Shop. T. Hardy Morris will headline. ShellFest benefits Shell To Shore, a nonprofit that collects oyster shells from restaurants across Georgia and returns them to their natural habitat in wild oyster reefs, where they are used as natural anchors for continued growth.
