The Ripple Effect Film Project is a film festival open to K–12 students in Georgia. Students submit 30–90 second short films, usually relating thematically to the concept of sustainable and responsible water usage. This year’s theme is “A Ripple Effect,” and over 200 submissions have been received. Only 25, however, will be selected by judges to move on to the finalist round and be screened at the blue carpet premiere. This year, one film will also be selected to be shown at the United Nations Water Conference to an audience of 20,000 people. The blue carpet premiere is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved online ahead of time.
