Calendar Pick: Fluke Mini Comics & Zine Festival

It’s that time of year again. The birds are chirping, the pollen is racing in yellow clouds across the sky, and a legion of comic artists and independent publishers are preparing to descend upon the 40 Watt Club for Fluke 2023. Since 2002, Fluke has been a premier destination in the Southeast for the exchange of zines and comics. In 2011, Fluke moved its operation from the now-defunct Tasty World to the 40 Watt Club, where it remains today. This year’s Fluke promises an impressive array of comic artists and writers from across the Southeast, including many well-known locals like Joey Weiser, Klon Waldrip, David Mack, Lee Gatlin and Christee Henry.
